The Republic of Namibia is a country located in South-West Africa. It is bordered by Angola to the North, Botswana to the East and South Africa to the South. The western coast stretches 1,600 km along the Atlantic ocean.
The country can be divided into two geographical segments, the north with abundant water, and the dry southern region. It enjoys a generally moderate tropical climate with temperatures ranging between 18°C and 35°C in summer (October – April) and 0°C and 20°C in winter (May – September).
Windhoek, the capital city and heart of Namibia, located about 1,700 m above sea level on a central plateau surrounded by hills, is home to approx. 250,000 inhabitants and known as one of the smallest capitals in the world – a manageable city though, strongly characterized by a proliferation of German style buildings, a lasting reminder of Namibia’s early colonial history.
AURORA hunting farm, located 80 km northeast of the capital Windhoek, boasts little desert terrain but plenty of open tree and grass savannas and mountainous areas offering the ideal habitat for a wide variety of wild game.
